Juventus announced on Monday the sacking of head coach Igor Tudor following their recent poor results. The Bianconeri have not won a match in eight attempts.

The club announced in a statement that the team will be led on an interim basis by Massimo Brambilla for the next match.

Their next matches are the home game against Udinese on Wednesday, before the trip to Cremonese on Saturday. In eight days’ time, Juventus host Sporting in the Champions League.

The brief club statement read: “Juventus FC announces that it has today relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head coach of the Men’s First Team, along with his staff consisting of Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci.

“The Club also announces that it has temporarily entrusted the Men’s First Team to Massimo Brambilla, who will be on the bench for the Juventus-Udinese match on Wednesday evening.

“The Club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers.”

Luciano Spalletti and Raffaele Palladino are reportedly among the main candidates being considered.

The results crisis has left the Bianconeri in a delicate situation in domestic and continental competitions.

Without a win in eight games, since September 13th, they have also suffered three consecutive defeats against Como (2-0), Real Madrid (1-0) and Lazio (1-0), a result that led to the dismissal of the former Croatian central defender as coach.

In Serie A, Juventus are in eighth place, five points behind leaders Napoli and Roma, and in the Champions League, they are out of the playoff positions, in 25th place with just two points.
