The Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) has announced that Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Marine Transport, will be honoured with the prestigious AMJON Lifetime Achievement Award for Legislative Excellence and Selflessness.
The award recognises Senator Sanni’s outstanding contributions to legislative oversight, maritime development, and community empowerment.
With over two decades of experience in public service, Senator Sanni has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to promoting the interests of Nigerians.
Senator Sanni’s impressive background includes serving as a two-term Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government Area, a three-term Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and a two-term Deputy Speaker of the House.
He currently represents Lagos Central Senatorial District in the 10th Assembly.
The AMJON Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to Senator Sanni’s dedication to promoting maritime development and community empowerment.
The award ceremony will take place on November 13, 2025, at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos.
