Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, Ph.D, has congratulated Major General Ime Okon Bassey, Air Vice Marshal Patrick James Edem, and Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Cletus Ukpong on their recent promotion as senior officers in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In his congratulatory message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno described their elevation as a testament to their dedication, professionalism and outstanding service to the nation.
“Let me, on behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, congratulate our sons, Major General Ime Okon Bassey, Air Vice Marshal Patrick James Edem, and Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Cletus Ukpong, on their well-deserved promotion.
“You are the beacons of light for our young ones and I am hopeful that they will be inspired to see the ennobling ideal in selfless and patriotic service to their fatherland.
“I am also confident that you will continue to uphold the virtues of discipline, loyalty, integrity and excellence that are the defining characteristics of our people, while serving our nation with honour and distinction.”
The Governor urged the newly elevated officers to continue to drive and implement the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, through their Service Chiefs to tackle the security challenges in our nation with renewed verve and drive.
