Popular Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has spoken candidly about her relationship status, urging fans and well-wishers to desist from pressuring her into marriage simply because she is a mother of two.

The actress, known for her striking screen presence and outspoken nature, made it clear that marriage is not on her agenda anytime soon, despite having two children.

Gold revealed that whenever she attends wedding ceremonies, particularly those of colleagues in the entertainment industry, she is often confronted with intrusive questions about when it will be her “turn.” She described such comments as unnecessary and insensitive.

“It’s not going to be my turn anytime soon. I’m also not getting married anytime soon. I’m not even thinking about it, it’s not in my thoughts. Do you understand? I have two kids. In fact, I’m married to my kids, nobody should pressure me. That’s how you people will pressure me now, you want me to go and marry a dustbin, all these men wey no dey get themselves. I will take my time and marry the right man. God said that in His own time, He will give me my own man. So, nobody should pressure me, I’m waiting on God,” she stated.

Addressing the possibility of remaining unmarried, the actress dismissed the notion that singlehood is a failure or a sin. She maintained that a woman can live a fulfilled, morally upright life without being married.

“If no man comes, it’s not a sin to remain single. You can be single and still make heaven, as long as you live right. Heaven is the goal,” she said.

Responding to questions about family pressure, Lizzy Gold disclosed that she has never been coerced by her relatives into getting married, despite her younger sister having been married for over a decade.

According to her, marriage is a personal decision that should not be influenced by comparisons or external expectations.

“I have never been pressured at home. Whether I marry or not is nobody’s business,” she said firmly, adding that she is currently single, unbothered, and at peace with her choices.
