The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set its national convention for March 2026, releasing a full timetable for its Ward, LGA, State and Zonal Congresses.
At the national caucus meeting, party leaders confirmed that the convention will run from Wednesday, March 25 to Saturday, March 28, 2026, following a series of Ward, Local Government, State and Zonal Congresses across Nigeria.
Under the timetable released by the APC National Secretariat: Ward and Local Government Congresses are slated for February 18 and 20, 2026, respectively.
State Congresses will take place on March 7., with zone by zone event scheduled for March 21.
The party’s membership re-registration and other preparatory phase began in December 2025 and extend into early 2026, laying, the groundwork for delegate selection ahead of the national event.
Party officials say the structured timeline is designed to ensure compliance with APC constitution and strengthen internal democracy within the party’s ranks.
The convention will see the election of party executives and ratification of leadership roles crucial ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
It follows a series of caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings held this month, aimed at strategic planning and organizational cohesion.
