The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has kicked off a 14-federal constituency tour aiming to unite party stakeholders and boost mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Former Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin, who is the Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope, revealed that the party aimed to increase President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 vote tally by at least 35 per cent through grassroots mobilisation.

‘In 2023, President Tinubu secured 449,884 votes in Oyo State, one of the strongest margins nationwide. Our mission now is to intensify efforts and deliver a landslide mandate for him in 2027.”

The tour, which will cover all 14 Federal Constituencies in the state, seeks to energise the party base, consolidate APC structures, and promote unity among party members.

Notable leaders, including Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu, APC State Chairman. Olayide Abas and Senators Yunus Akintunde and Sharafadeen Alli, urged party members to remain disciplined and united, stressing that cooperation is key to victory in 2027.

Adelabu assured the party faithful that the current atmosphere of peace and unity within the party in the state would be sustained.

“There was no alternative to love, unity and togetherness of the collective goals of leaders and members would be realised. We have all learned from the errors of the past and we shall all work together this time in the interest of our great party and the people of the state.”

Abas had announced at a strategic meeting held at the Oke-Ado, Ibadan State Secretariat that open endorsement meetings would be organised in each of the 14 federal constituencies in the state to obtain overwhelming grassroots support for the project.

Chieftain of the party, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, told party faithful to leverage on the peace initiative of the gladiators and unite for the purpose of achieving unprecedented electoral victory for the broom party in the 2027 polls. Senators Olufemi Lanlehin and Ayoade Adeseun also spoke in the same vein as they harped on unity and togetherness among party members.

The event featured prominent party elders and grassroots mobilisation leaders, who pledged to work together to secure a historic win for President Tinubu and the APC in 2027.
