Executive members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Gargari Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, have expelled the party’s state chairman, Hashimu Dungurawa, over alleged anti-party activities.

Themomentng reports that the decision was reached during the ward’s second executive meeting held about two weeks after the party’s national convention and was endorsed by 27 executive members who signed a resolution to that effect.

The meeting was presided over by the Ward Chairman, Shuaibu Hassan, with the Ward Secretary, Yahaya Saidu Dungurawa, also in attendance.

According to the resolution, Dungurawa was expelled over allegations of creating divisions within the party, instigating internal crises, failure to pay party dues, and making abusive remarks against the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The ward executives described the alleged actions as unacceptable and detrimental to the unity, image and progress of the NNPP in Kano State.

They said the decision was taken in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution, stressing that discipline, unity and internal cohesion must be upheld at all levels of the party.

The Gargari Ward leadership disclosed that copies of the resolution had been forwarded to the party’s local government, state and national headquarters for necessary action.

They added that the resolution was also served on the NNPP national leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as well as Governor Yusuf, for their information and further directives.

The executives explained that the expulsion was intended to serve as a deterrent to party members who misuse positions of authority or act as though they are above party rules and discipline.

They reaffirmed their loyalty to the NNPP national leadership under Kwankwaso and pledged continued support for the Kano State governor.

The ward executives also pledged their commitment to peace, unity and the overall advancement of the party at the ward, local government, state and national levels.
