The Moment Nigeria learnt that rather, Ibrahim and his cohorts, resorted to blackmail when their attempt to be parading themselves as leaders of the group.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja, over the allegation, the National President, AFAN, Alhaji Farouk Mudi, said it is unfortunate that Ibrahim and his team, would be going around tarnishing the good image of the great group to achieve their selfish interest.

The National President said: “Following the false information that is currently being peddled on social media by the immediate past AFAN leader, Ibrahim, the association has no option than to dissociate itself from him and inform the general public that anyone doing business with him, in the name of the group, does so at their own risk.

He said: the rice investment issue has nothing to do with the national body of AFAN, rather it was a chapter matter and would be resolve by its chairman and its executive members.

Alhaji Farouk explained that the case between him and Ibrahim is before the court and wondered why the former leader of AFAN accused the national body such grave offence, which it could not substantiate.

Alhaji Farouk noted:”Following the ruling of the High Court on 1/2/21, Coram His Lordship, Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja. At the Court sitting, His Lordship specifically asked to know who is saddled with the affairs of the Association? To which the AFAN lawyer retorted; “it is my client my Lord”. His Lordship affirmed: “ok, that is the status quo” and adjourned to the 15th of March 2021.

“Our lawyer also informed the Court that the Kabiru Ibrahim led exco have refused to handover the assets of the Association and are still parading themselves as AFAN excos after the expiration of their tenure, to which His Lordship responded and I quote: “You that are saddled with the affairs of the Association should please maintain peace and harmony”, he explained.

The National President of AFAN warned public not to be deceived by Ibrahim and his cronies, because they have nothing to do with the group.
