Bandits release 15 Bethel Baptist School students

Fifteen students of Bethel Baptist School, Kaduna have been freed by their captors on Saturday night.

Two months ago, 121 students of the school were abducted. They were kidnapped in the early hours of July 5, 2021 around 2am at the school premises along the Kaduna-Kachia highway, Damishi, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

So far, out of the abducted students, only 53 have been rescued while 68 others remain in captivity.

The bandits had requested for N100 million for ransom after which some of them were released earlier this month.

The latest development was confirmed by the Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. John Hayab.
