The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, former Miss Commonwealth Nigeria, wanted for her alleged involvement in illicit drug activities.
Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson for NDLEA, in a statement on Sunday, said Aderinoye was declared wanted by the agency following her escape from her Lekki residence in Lagos during a raid by operatives.
He stated that a search of her premises was prompted by reliable information suggesting her involvement in drug trafficking.
“Meanwhile, an ex-beauty queen, Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye has been declared wanted by the Agency after she escaped from her Lekki, Lagos residence when NDLEA operatives raided her apartment at Oral estate, Lekki on Wednesday 24th January following credible intelligence she deals in illicit substances,” he said.
Babafemi further disclosed that the search of Aderinoye’s home, conducted in the presence of estate officials, uncovered 606 grams of Canadian Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis, an electronic weighing scale, and significant quantities of drug packaging materials.
Also recovered from her home was a black RAV 4 SUV marked Lagos KSF 872 GQ, and her picture frame, among others.
Aderinoye held the title of Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture for the pageant’s 2015/2016 edition.
