He said the joint team also raided a notorious location in Umuahia popularly called, “Down Below” and seized some drugs whose quantity were yet to be determined at a known hotel located there where people were arrested and are still being interviewed.

Alajemba disclosed that Adaobi (who is supposed to be a lawyer)’s drug business spanned over two decades and thanked the state Director of the NDLEA, Amos. Adelenwa, for their cooperation, regretting that, “drug is the root cover of kidnap and other crimes.”

He said Governor Alex Otti had warned every criminal in the state to desist from every illegal activity as they would face the fate of Adaobi, because, “No drug lord is allowed in the state.”

He urged parents to warn their children over illegal activities while thanking the NDLEA, stating, “Abia is not a safe home for criminals.”

In his address, the Deputy Governor, Ikechukwu Emetu, warned criminals to stay away from the state as “drugs cannot develop the state”, adding, “time is now. Leave the state because when we come for you, nobody will be able to save you.”
