Another achievement for the Ejigbo Local Council Development Authority is the commissioning of the Akinsanya Ajaloleru Nursery and Primary School in Oke-Afa, which was constructed by the council chairman, Hon. Monsuru Oloyede Bello (OBE).
On Tuesday, 11 June, 2024, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, officially opened the state-of-the-art school facility. Dr. Hamzat stated in his keynote speech that he had to be present at the commissioning since the children in the community, who he claimed are the future leaders, will be directly impacted.
The Akinsanya Ajaloleru Nursery and Primary School is a fantastic accomplishment for Lagos state as a whole as well as the Ejigbo LCDA, the deputy governor also mentioned in his speech.
He went on to congratulate the executive chairman of Ejigbo, Alhaji Monsurudeen Oloyode Bello (OBE), for keying into the state government’s THEMES developmental plan.
In his own remarks, the chairman, OBE noted that he built Akinsanya Ajaloleru Nursery and Primary School, because of the exhorbitant fees being charged by private schools in surrounding areas like Ajao estate, International airport etc.
As OBE welcomed the deputy governor elegantly dressed in a school uniform, he said that the school would bring relief to parents who would otherwise be unable to send their children to private schools.
OBE also said that the school was built to compete favorably with private schools in the area.
The convener, APC Unity Global. Barrister Kayode Ademiluyi, who also attended the event, commended OBE . He said that this and several other achievements sets OBE apart and makes him an example for people that occupy similar offices to follow.
Among the dignitaries that witnessed the event are Chief Henry Ajomole, Chief Taiwo, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan, Hon. Fabikun, Barr Kayode Ademiluyi, Pa kasunmu (Ejigbo APC Chairman), Ojon of Ejigbo and kings from various kingdoms in Lagos state, and many more to mention a few.
In addition to this, OBE has lined up quite a number of other people oriented projects, to be commissioned for the general use of our people and in the spirit of June 12 Democracy Day.
Among these are; Roads, Motor parks, Hospitals, CDC Buildings, and many more.
On a final note, Let’s continue to keep the fire of democracy burning. Let’s keep the torch lit for generations to come.
May God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Lagos State and Ejigbo LCDA, and preserve our democracy.
