The Mbadiwe twins have become the first heads of house (HOH) of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show season nine edition.

On Monday afternoon, the 14 pairs of 28 housemates took part in a ballot game wherein each pair was asked to vote for their preferred HOH.

After the game, there was a tie between the Mbadiwe twins and the Radicals as both pairs had two votes.

The custodians were then given the autonomy to choose the HOH which they gave the title to the Mbadiwe twins.

The custodians are the Ndi Nne pair.

As the custodians, the pair can influence nominations for possible eviction in the first week as well.

Biggie also disclosed that the HOH does not guarantee immunity to eviction this week.

However, they are given the opportunity to decide the punishment for any housemate found wanting this week.

The Mbadiwe Twins are brothers named Ozee and Ocee.

The BBNaija show will run for 71 days and is expected to end on October 6. The winner of the 2024 season will go home with a cash prize of N100 million.

Last year’s edition featured 20 former housemates from the show’s inception in 2006 through its seventh edition in 2022.

The 2023 season ended on October 1, with Ilebaye Odiniya winning the grand prize.
