The Nigerian Communications Commission has instructed telecommunications operators to promptly restore all phone lines that were blocked due to the lack of National Identification Number linkage to SIM cards.

This directive was announced in a statement released on Monday by Reuben Muoka, the NCC’s Director of Media and Public Affairs. The decision comes in response to concerns over the widespread disruption caused by the suspension of lines for non-compliance with the NIN-SIM linkage policy.

The NCC’s move aims to address the issues faced by subscribers who have been unable to access mobile services due to these restrictions. The commission’s latest action underscores its commitment to balancing regulatory requirements with the needs of consumers.
