I’m not competing with anyone, Kunle Afolayan declares

Actor, filmmaker, and director Kunle Afolayan has confidently affirmed his unmatched skill in the industry, stating that he sees no competition but himself.

Afolayan shared a compiled video on his Instagram page, highlighting his national and international recognition.

The video featured moments from his interviews with international media outlets, special event invitations, and the early days of his breakthrough in the film industry.

In the video, Afolayan shared his humble beginnings, revealing that he studied accounting and had a successful career in the field before transitioning to acting.

He also showcased some of his notable works, including Figurine, October 1, Omugwo, Mokalik, Citation, Anikulapo, and Naija Christmas.

Afolayan accompanied the video with a statement, describing himself as a creative personality who focuses on building and minding his own business.

He emphasised that he is not in competition with anyone but himself, proudly affirming his status as a Nigerian filmmaker.

“I am a creative, I like to build and I mind my own business. I am not in competition with anyone but Myself. My name is Kunle Afolayan, I am a Filmmaker and I am a Nigerian,” he stated.
