Another suspect has been apprehended in connection with the multi-million naira fraud uncovered at Brila Media Group. Babafemi Raji, popularly known as “Topmost Striker,” a former employee of the media organization, was arrested last week by operatives of the Federal Intelligence Department at the Force Headquarters in Lagos.

Sources familiar with the investigation revealed that Raji’s arrest is tied to the alleged diversion of over N150 million from the organization. The fraud is suspected to have been orchestrated by a cartel comprising some ex-staff and external collaborators over several years.

Raji’s arrest follows earlier investigations that have seen other individuals questioned and some admitting to their roles in the fraudulent activities. Several suspects have reportedly pleaded for a settlement with the authorities.

Efforts to reach Dr. Larry Izamoje, the founder of Brila Media Group, for comments have so far been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Raji, who is currently on administrative bail, is expected to face legal proceedings soon.

With this latest development, investigators are reportedly widening their search to apprehend all those involved in the scheme.
