The Ogun State Police Command has announced that controversial musician Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, widely known as “Portable,” is wanted in connection with an assault on government officials. A statement from CSP Omolola Odutola, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, reads:

“The Ogun State Police Command hereby declares Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, popularly known as ‘Portable,’ wanted for his involvement in a violent attack on government officials carrying out their lawful duties.”

On February 5, 2025, around 10:00 AM, officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office, were conducting an enforcement operation at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, when they met an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar. After identifying themselves and asking for the approved building plan, the father stated that his son was not present.

Shortly after, Portable arrived, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, leading a group of nine thugs who violently attacked the unarmed officials. The officials sustained various injuries but were able to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command, which referred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further action.

Nine of Portable’s accomplices were arrested, but he fled the scene and has been in hiding ever since. Despite multiple formal invitations requesting his appearance at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, Portable has deliberately ignored them without providing any legal representation.

Due to his consistent avoidance, the Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted. The public is urged to provide any relevant information that may lead to his arrest. Those found assisting or harboring him will face legal consequences.

For any information, individuals are encouraged to report to the nearest police station or contact the Ogun State Police Command through its official channels.
