Olamilekan Yussuff, a man living in Lagos, has accused PWAN Homes of refusing to allocate three plots of land his brother paid for in 2016, despite multiple follow-ups and complaints.
Yussuff told FIJ that his brother who lived abroad paid N3 million for two plots of land in Lekki in May 2016 during one of PWAN Homes’ promotional offers, which came with an extra plot. However, the family has yet to be allocated the land nine years later.
He said that after his brother paid for the land, he asked him to follow up with the real estate company, which he has been doing, but PWAN Homes has continued to make unfulfilled promises.
In 2019, Yussuff said, PWAN Homes invited him to their headquarters in Lagos, where he saw other prospective landowners. From there, they went to the area of land they had all paid for, but they met a large area of uncultivated land.

“We asked why a greater part of the land was still uncleared, but they said their workers were still working on the area and that they would finish clearing it up in a week or two. After that day, they didn’t call until I called them again a month after the first visit,” Yussuff told FIJ.
“When I got to their office, they said their labourers hadn’t finished what they were doing on the land and that it would be completed in the following months. Since then, I have been writing to them. They give me appointments, saying, ‘come today or tomorrow’, but that is where it all ends.”
Yussuff said that he learnt PWAN Homes had an office in Ikorodu in early 2025 and that he went there to lodge the same complaint. There, a customer representative assured him they would relay the information to their head office.
“I didn’t hear anything afterwards. But this is bad. I told them my brother wouldn’t take it lightly with them, but they said no problem. It has been nine years, yet PWAN Homes is unwilling to give my brother his land,” he said.
When we contacted PWAN Homes, a representative said the company had allocated the three plots of land paid for, although it didn’t substantiate the claim.
“Please be informed that [your source] has been duly allocated plots at Tehilla Gardens Estate. The allocation details are as follows: Block G8, Plots 4, 6, and 8. Furthermore, kindly note that the client’s Survey Plan and Deed of Assignment are available for collection at our office,” the representative said.
In May, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) flagged the real estate investments by PWAN Homes as fraudulent after multiple reports.
