Interacting with Government House correspondents shortly after inspecting the 14-floor facility located along the State’s Shopping City corridor, Governor Eno commended the contractor for their dedication to work and urged them to adhere to the project’s delivery timeline.

“Sometimes, fixing something that was abandoned can be much more difficult than starting a new one.

But from what we have seen here today, the contractor’s effort is encouraging. He must strive to stick to the delivery timeline for the project,” he said.

The contractor, Engr. Samer Samara of RATCON Construction Company Ltd., while appreciating the State Government for providing the necessary resources, assured that the project would be ready for commissioning as scheduled.

The Ibom International Hotel is a 200-room facility designed to complement the State’s International Convention Centre and Shopping City, both of which are geared towards boosting the State’s tourism assets.

On the inspection team were members of the State Executive Council, the State’s Project Delivery Advisory Team, captains of industry, and political stalwarts.
