He said CANAL+ will be the first global broadcaster to bring the AFCON 2025 to African audiences in English, French, Portuguese, and indigenous languages.

According to him, the merger between CANAL+ and MultiChoice has begun yielding benefits for subscribers across the continent.

Mignot added that the partnership will deliver unprecedented coverage and showcase Africa’s biggest football celebration in grand style.

CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, who attended the signing ceremony, described the agreement as an exciting day for African football.

Motsepe said millions of Africans across the continent and the diaspora would proudly follow the matches when the tournament kicks off in December.

Rendani Ramovha, MultiChoice’s Director of Sport Content for English and Portuguese-speaking Africa, said the company is proud to bring AFCON 2025 live to viewers.

He noted that SuperSport remains the preferred choice for millions of passionate football fans, with a dedicated AFCON channel already planned.

Ramovha added that as part of CANAL+, viewers will enjoy enhanced experiences and broadcasts in their preferred languages, celebrating African football excellence.
