Saidu was represented by the acting Deputy Comptroller in charge of Enforcement, ACC Umar Abubakar-Kigo.

He further reiterated the command’s  commitment to discipline, professionalism and effective border management.

According to him, the exercise is part of the NCS’s sustained effort to strengthen border security, and enhance operational efficiency.

“The inspection tour is aimed at assessing the level of compliance with operational guidelines, professionalism, and overall readiness of personnel manning the strategic border corridor,” he said.

The area controller also commended the personnel for their dedication, vigilance and unwavering commitment to duty.

“You are expected to sustain the highest standards of discipline, lawfulness and professionalism; These values are critical to the successful execution of the service’s  mandate,” he said.

He added that effective border management remained top priority of the NCS, particularly in strategic border communities like Jibia, which played  a vital role in national security and economic stability.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the area controller also paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Jibia Local Government Area (LGA), Alhaji Surajo Ado.

According to him, the visit aims at strengthening cooperation and fostering a cordial working relationship between the NCS, and the local government authority.
