Raheem Sterling is prioritising a permanent move away from Chelsea as the transfer deadline approaches. The former England star has been frozen out at the London club this season and is hoping for a fresh start.

He has 18 months remaining on his contract at Chelsea and earns £300,000-a-week but his representatives will work closely with the club to help open up an exit pathway that suits all parties.

Sterling is accepting of the wage decrease he is heading for, as he attempts to salvage the final years of his career.
