Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he has stepped away from the high-energy party lifestyle that once defined his early years in the music industry, saying maturity, family life and rest now take precedence.

Speaking during an interview on The LongForm Podcast on YouTube, shared on Monday, the singer reflected on how fame, money and influence at a young age pushed him into an intense nightlife culture.

“That freedom, power, and money at that young age, I was like, I used to wild out, man, but like these days, like, I don’t even go to the club, bro like, I’m telling you, I used to go to the club every day. Like, we used to, it was like, it was part of us, like, we’re going somewhere to be,” he said.

Davido explained that with time, his priorities have shifted, as he now values rest, being at home more and his role as a family man over constant partying.

According to him, growth and responsibility have helped reshape his lifestyle and outlook on fame.
