The attack which occurred Sunday night, claimed some lives and left others severely injured.

According to Madugu, the decision to continue with the examination followed a meeting of the management held on April 3.

“The university management during its meeting held on April 3, considered the effects of the heightened tensions and threat to the lives and safety of students during the week.

“These threats had made the management allow students to travel home for the elongated Easter holidays.

“However, all examinations are now to continue from Monday, April 13, beginning with the ones that were postponed from March 30.

“For further clarification on this, students are advised to contact the examinations time table officer in their respective faculties,” he said

Madugu, however, said that academic activities in the university would resume on Tuesday, April 7.

He added that management had made adequate arrangements towards the safety of staff and students of the university.
