The former aide made his declaration while addressing supporters in Kano on Friday, saying his decision was driven by service rather than personal ambition.

“This ambition is not borne out of mere ambition, but from a deep sense of responsibility, commitment and consistent engagement with the people and the ideals of my great party,” he said.

Ja’oji reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress, noting his contributions to the party’s growth and electoral successes.

“Over the past few years, I have remained steadfast in my loyalty and contributions to the growth, unity and electoral successes of our party… at various levels,” he added.

He said his experience in the presidency had deepened his understanding of governance and leadership.

“In that capacity, I came up with initiatives aimed at promoting civic responsibility, youth engagement, and leadership development across the country,” Ja’oji stated.

According to the statement, the aspirant has invested in youth development and women’s inclusion through empowerment programmes.

He assured constituents of improved representation and delivery of democratic dividends if elected.
