Chaos erupted on Monday as suspected political thugs went on a bloody rampage, attacking the venue of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) congress in Enugu State.
According to 9News Nigeria, the crisis started shortly after party members gathered at the Aborigene Hall for the crucial congress.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of pandemonium as the hoodlums invaded the hall, smashing chairs, disrupting proceedings and sending terrified delegates running for safety.
