Real Madrid has confirmed that it has concluded internal disciplinary proceedings against Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, imposing a fine of €500,000 on each player following a recent incident involving the squad.

In an official statement obtained from the club’s X handle on Friday, the club said both players appeared before the disciplinary investigator and accepted responsibility for their actions.

““Real Madrid announces that, following the events that led to the opening yesterday of a disciplinary file against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, both have today appeared before the investigator handling the case,” the club said.

Real Madrid added that both players expressed remorse during the proceedings.

“During said appearance, the players showed their total regret for what happened and have apologised to each other,” the statement continued.

According to the club, Valverde and Tchouaméni also apologised to teammates, coaching staff, and supporters, and accepted any disciplinary decision the club deemed appropriate.

“They have conveyed their apologies to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff and the fans, and both have made themselves available to Real Madrid to accept the sanction that the club considered appropriate,” the statement said.

Following the conclusion of the internal process, the club confirmed the sanctions.

“Real Madrid has decided to impose a financial penalty of €500,000 on each player, thereby concluding the internal disciplinary proceedings,” the club announced.

The disciplinary case brings closure to an internal issue that had drawn attention within the squad, with the club emphasising accountability and internal discipline.

The development comes as Real Madrid continues to manage squad matters ahead of key fixtures, including the upcoming El Clásico.
