The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced May 24 and May 31 as deadlines for the ongoing registration for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) and the May/June In-School Certificate Examinations.

The disclosure is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Benin by the board’s Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Aminu Mohammed, urged schools, parents, guardians and prospective candidates to complete their registration before the deadlines.

Mohammed said registration for the May/June In-School Certificate Examinations would close on May 31, while that of the NCEE would end on May 24.

He explained that the board had streamlined the registration process through designated online portals to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience for candidates and schools.

According to him, schools registering candidates for the May/June In-School Examinations are required to obtain registration slots through their respective state offices.

He added that schools must enrol candidates using the NABTEB biometric software and complete the process via the official portals, after obtaining login details and making the required payments.

Mohammed further stated that candidates for the NCEE are to obtain Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) through state offices before completing their registration online, while schools can also facilitate bulk registration using designated login credentials.

The registrar reiterated the board’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance examination administration and service delivery nationwide.

He urged candidates and school authorities to strictly adhere to the registration guidelines and ensure accurate submission of candidates’ data.

Mohammed also advised the public to contact the nearest NABTEB state office or visit the board’s official registration platforms for further clarification and support.
