“When you see Peter Obi in Kano, for us it is a big surprise because the same Kwankwaso who said he has a PhD is with Obi who has an undergraduate degree.

“The same Kwankwaso who said he is more politically experienced than Obi, the same Kwankwaso who has seen Obi as just a Biafra agent is now craving to be his vice president.

“So it’s a surprise and Kano can’t accept this partnership because he is not really the Kwankwaso that we know. We know him to be a straight forward person that wants to contribute to the development of the country.

“But this partnership is temporary and I don’t even think that this Obi/Kwankwaso ticket can work.

“Why? Because I know the two of them have very different opinions and political views, so I don’t see them connecting to provide what is needed for the country.”

—Sanusi Bature, spokesman of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, spoke on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Wednesday.
