Abiodun Folashade Tokunbo, wife of Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has explained why she chose to keep her marriage away from public attention.

Tokunbo, who is the chief executive officer of Anjy Luminee Couture, a Lagos-based fashion brand popularly known as House of Luminee, said privacy remained important to her peace and personal well-being.

She made this known in a post on Instagram, where she shared a photograph showing her journey with her husband over the years.

She wrote, “Before and After. Aanu Ni!.

“This right time to fly together. Privacy is peace to me.”

Her comments came shortly after Baba Ijesha announced that they had welcomed a baby boy together.

On Monday, Baba Ijesha disclosed that he and Tokunbo had welcomed a son.

The actor appreciated the fashion designer, whom he described as “my ever beautiful wife, strong Jagaban,” while introducing their child as “King Kagar Omiyinka.”

Tokunbo also revealed that the child was their first together after 12 years, while referencing her daughter. It, however, remains unclear whether the couple had been together for over 12 years.

Tokunbo hails from Ijesha Isu, Ekiti State, where she was born as the sixth daughter in a family of eight.

She attended Hosanna Africa Primary School before proceeding to Methodist Girls High School for her secondary education.

She later obtained a National Diploma in Banking and Finance from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University.

Tokunbo launched her fashion brand in 2013, shortly after completing her final examinations at LASU.
