The Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs has intervened in a viral child abuse case in Awada, rescuing a 10-year-old boy who was allegedly assaulted by a woman in a circulating video.
During the same operation, authorities also took custody of her 10-month-old baby over welfare concerns.
The woman has reportedly pleaded for the return of her infant, but officials say both children remain under protective care as investigations continue.
