Ekiti Polls: PDP Candidate, Wole Oluyede Arrives Polling Unit

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, on Saturday arrived at Polling Unit 6, Osagburu Hall, Ward 3, Ikere-Ekiti, to participate in the election.

themomentng reports that the polling centre also recorded the presence of several elderly voters who arrived early for accreditation.

Among the elderly voters was 86-year-old Madam Abiodun Ajewole, who was seen waiting to be accredited before casting her ballot.

Voting Begins At Oyebanji’s Unit

In a related development, residents of Ikogosi in Ekiti West Local Government Area turned out early at the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s, polling unit.

At Ward 6, Polling Unit 003, located in front of the Oyebanji family compound in Okelele, voters checked their names on the register before voting commenced.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived at the unit and briefed voters before accreditation and voting began around 8:30 am.

One voter, identified simply as Aduke, said she had confirmed her name on the register.

“I have checked my name; it is on the register, and I am ready to vote. Hopefully, others will come out to do,” she said.
