Nigerian health influencer Aproko Doctor has sparked reactions after speaking about his marriage and how his views on physical attraction have changed over time.
In a viral video, he shared that his wife, Amaka Egemba, did not match the physical picture he once had in mind when thinking about his ideal partner.
themomentng reports that he explained that what many people call a “spec” is often based on surface preferences that can change with time and experience.
The medic said that when he first met his wife, she did not fit the exact physical image he used to imagine for himself, but that did not stop their relationship from growing.
According to him, what drew him in was not appearance but the way she spoke, her mindset, and how she treated people around her.
He also noted that he once focused more on looks and had strong ideas about height and appearance but later realized that such expectations do not determine the success of a relationship.
“I think spec is completely overrated. …she did not look anything like my spec. She did not look like the spec I created in my head. For me, it was what she was saying, her thoughts, but most importantly… her heart towards people. She’s the definition of ‘this person cannot hurt a fly”, he stated.
