The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, has discharged 31 of the 39 pupils rescued from captivity following their abduction in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State after certifying them medically fit to return to their families.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Prof. Olakulehin, disclosed the development on Tuesday, explaining that while the majority of the children had recovered sufficiently to be discharged, eight others would remain under close medical observation and treatment to ensure their complete recovery.
