The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Ididep, Akwa Ibom State, has approved the appointments of Dr. Wilson Udo Udofia as the substantive Provost and Mr. Daniel O. Awowo as the substantive Registrar of the institution, each for a single term of five (5) years.

Dr. Udofia, a distinguished scholar and administrator from Itukho, Utit Obio in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, succeeds Dr. Celina J. Nongo, who served in an acting capacity. The Council appreciates her dedication and invaluable contributions to the growth of the College.
A holder of a Ph.D. in Technical Education, Dr. Udofia brings over two decades of experience in teaching, research, quality assurance, and academic administration.
Mr. Awowo is an astute administrator and seasoned higher education professional with extensive experience in institutional administration. He is also an active member of the Senior Staff Union of Colleges of Education, Nigeria (SSUCOEN) and has served the union in various capacities, including Zonal Secretary and Vice Chairman.
Mr Awowo succeeds Mrs Grace Undie who served in acting capacity. The council appreciates her for bringing her wealth of experience to bear in the registry of the growing college.
Speaking after receiving their appointment letters, both principal officers expressed gratitude to the Governing Council for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to work collaboratively with Management, Staff, Students, Unions, and other stakeholders to advance the vision of the College and strengthen its pursuit of excellence.
The Governing Council congratulates Dr. Wilson Udo Udofia and Mr. Daniel O. Awowo on their appointments and wishes them successful tenures in their respective offices.
