‎A Nigerian man who paid ₦4 million for a 3-bedroom flat has revealed the heartbreaking discovery he made 8 days later.

“I recently paid rent of ₦4 million for a 3-bedroom flat and incurred a debt of over ₦500,000.
‎
‎I got it through an agent after so many ups and downs. I finally got the one I liked and paid ₦4 million for the apartment, including all his so-called fees and charges.
‎
‎Mind you, I did my research well. There was water, light, a very good location, and other necessary checks.
‎
‎On the 8th day of staying in the house, I started noticing that when there was light, my apartment wouldn’t have light. Today, being the 4th day without light, same thing.
‎
‎I called the agent this morning. He said he didn’t know why and advised I call the landlord. I called him, and he said the meter had probably run out of units, that I should recharge it.
‎
‎But there was an unpaid electricity bill of over ₦500,000. Until it’s cleared, half of every recharge I made would be deducted to pay off the debt. If I buy ₦10,000 worth of electricity, I’d only get about ₦5,000 worth of units”
