A statement attributed to Sharafadeen Raji has triggered widespread reactions online after he claimed that while individuals are not forced to accept Islam, those who choose to leave the religion could face death under Sharia law.
“We are not forcing anyone to join Islam, but the moment you accept Islam and decide to leave, you’ll be killed. It’s the law of Sharia and Allah,” he said.
