American golf star Nelly Korda has won the 2026 Rolex ANNIKA Major Award after producing the best overall record across the five major championships of the LPGA Tour season. The world number one accumulated 140 points to finish 10 points ahead of South Korea’s Haeran Ryu.
Korda is now the second golfer to win the award twice, joining Minjee Lee, who claimed it in 2022 and 2025. The LPGA confirmed Korda’s latest achievement on Sunday, August 2.
Korda entered the season-ending AIG Women’s Open with a six-point advantage over Ryu, with both players having won two majors in 2026. She secured the award by finishing joint fourth at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club after rounds of 73, 68, 73 and 68.
Her two-under-par total earned her another 14 points and took her final tally to 140. The performance also gave Korda four top-10 finishes from the season’s five major championships.
The 28-year-old began her major campaign by winning The Chevron Championship at Memorial Park Golf Club in Houston. She followed that victory by capturing the U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera Country Club, finishing one stroke ahead of Charley Hull and Gaby Lopez.
The triumph at Riviera was her fourth career major championship and made her the first American since Pat Bradley in 1986 to win the opening two majors of a season.
Korda later tied for eighth at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, where Ryu collected her first major title of the year. Ryu also won the Amundi Evian Championship after producing a record-breaking round of 60 during the tournament.
Korda missed the cut at Evian but recovered with her joint-fourth finish at the AIG Women’s Open. Japan’s Shiho Kuwaki won the championship after defeating Esther Henseleit in a playoff.
Ryu finished second in the ANNIKA standings with 130 points, while Kuwaki placed third with 60 points. Brooke Henderson was fourth with 42 points, and Ina Yoon completed the top five with 38 points. Korda also leads the Rolex Player of the Year standings and remains the top-ranked golfer in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. She will formally receive the award during the Rolex LPGA Awards at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in November.
The Rolex ANNIKA Major Award recognises the player with the strongest record across the five LPGA major championships during a season. Points are awarded to players finishing inside the top 10, but a golfer must win at least one major to qualify for the award. The winner of each major receives 60 points, while second place earns 24 and third place receives 18. The honour was introduced in 2014 and was not presented in 2020 because of disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
