Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, will on Wednesday address journalists and citizens on security, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s preparations and other issues surrounding the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The press conference is scheduled to hold at 11am at Imole House, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, according to an invitation released on Tuesday.
Announcing the briefing on X, Davido wrote, “I will be having a press conference tomorrow at Imole House, Osogbo, to discuss security, INEC and transparency issues.”
The singer, who was recently appointed Chairman of the Imole Youth Mobilisation Committee for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign, is expected to address concerns over security, electoral transparency and other major issues ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
The campaign invitation described the event as “Davido addresses issues (security, INEC transparency and other major issues) surrounding Osun 2026 gubernatorial election.”
Adeleke of the Accord Party is seeking a second term in office in the August 15 governorship election. Davido, who is the governor’s nephew, has taken an active role in the campaign, leading youth mobilisation efforts and participating in several political activities across the state.
