Oyelade quoted the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olusegun Olayiwola, as saying the selection process followed due process.

He said, “The exercise began with a public advertisement in national newspapers and was followed by interviews conducted by the institution’s Governing Council, chaired by Prof. Lanre Nassar.”

According to Olayiwola, the institution’s principal officers had served in acting capacities since 2005.

He congratulated the newly appointed officers and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through effective leadership and commitment to the growth of the institution.

The commissioner said that the appointments took effect from July 31, 2026, and would run for a single tenure of five years.
