Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has addressed questions surrounding the source of funds used to acquire his four private jets.
Oyedepo spoke while teaching his congregation about financial success and the importance of building wealth through legitimate means
The cleric directly denied claims that he used money from the church to purchase his aircraft.
“I’ve never taken a dime from this church to buy any of my planes, and I have 4 planes. I use anyone I like if one is faulty,” Oyedepo said.
He also reflected on his personal financial journey, explaining that he was able to start flying before he could afford his first new car.
“It took me time to drive the first new car, but it didn’t take me time to start flying,” he said.
Oyedepo also warned against pursuing wealth through what he described as harmful shortcuts, particularly drug-related activities and betting.
“You don’t have to do drugs or NaijaBet. Wealth gotten by vanity shall diminish,” he warned.
The bishop’s comments have generated mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning the source of his wealth while others praised his position on legitimate wealth creation.
