The National Universities Commission (NUC) resource assessment team to Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has given a positive nod to the university management and the Faculty of Engineering for its readiness to kickstart postgraduate Engineering programmes in Master of Engineering (M.Eng) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Welcoming the assessment team to the university, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, expressed appreciation for the visit and described the University’s Engineering staff as “good ambassadors of the engineering profession.”
The Vice-Chancellor said that the institution remains passionate about Engineering and is committed to advancing its Engineering programmes.
Responding, the NUC team explained that the purpose of the visit was to ascertain whether the materials and resources available for the proposed postgraduate Engineering programmes met the required standards.
After the assessment, the team commended ACU for the adequacy of its curriculum, noting that the programmes had sufficient academic content.
They also made recommendations on areas of improvement that the university and faculty should work on.
In her response, the Vice-Chancellor assured the team that ACU would carefully consider and implement the recommendations arising from the assessment to further strengthen the proposed programmes.
