Binani Air has announced a new direct flight service between Yola and Lagos, effective Thursday, 17 September 2026.
The service will operate every Thursday, with the Yola to Lagos leg departing at 8:00 AM and the return flight leaving Lagos at 3:15 PM.
The airline disclosed the route in a public notice issued on Thursday. “This new service provides passengers with a faster, easier, and more convenient travel option between Yola and Lagos,” the notice read.
The new route eliminates layovers, mostly through Abuja, that travellers previously endured between Adamawa State and Nigeria’s commercial capital.
The service also expands air access to the Northeast, which has historically faced limited direct domestic connectivity. Business travellers, traders and agricultural entrepreneurs are expected to benefit from faster movement between both hubs.
Binani Air was founded by Aishatu Binani, making it Nigeria’s first fully woman-owned airline. The carrier recently signed a contract for a new MRO hangar at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Bookings and enquiries are open through the airline’s official channels. No promotional fares were announced.
The new Yola–Lagos route adds to Binani Air’s growing domestic footprint and is expected to increase competition on northern and southern city pairings.
