Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has condoled Nigerians on the passing of Alh Bamanga Tukur, describing him as “a distinguished Nigerian statesman, administrator, businessman, and elder” whose remarkable contributions to the nation will remain part of history.
Adebayo who expressed shock at the sad news, described Alhaji Bamanga Tukur as a patriot who dedicated many years of his life to the service of Nigeria and Africa.
“His contributions to public administration, business development, leadership, and national politics demonstrated his commitment to the progress and development of our country,” he said.
“Personally, I have had the privilege of working with this true and illustrious Nigerian personage in terms of my investments in his beloved state of Adamawa, in the area of promotion of indigenous shipping, and in the implementation of the mandate of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD), under his leadership.”
“At this moment of grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the government and people of Adamawa State, his friends, associates, and all Nigerians who mourn this great loss.”
“Nigeria has lost an experienced leader and statesman of remarkable accomplishment. May his legacy continue to inspire present and future generations to dedicate themselves to the service of humanity and the development of our beloved country.”
