The Allied People’s Movement (APM), Lagos State, has congratulated its presidential candidate, Gov. Seyi Makinde, and other candidates on the inclusion in the final candidates’ list for 2027.
The party also congratulated its Lagos state governorship candidate, Laja Adeoye, as well as its senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly candidates on emerging as the party’s flagbearers.
In a statement on Sunday in Lagos, Mr Ayodele Kazeem, APM State Publicity Secretary, described the publication of the final list as an important milestone in the party’s efforts to participate in the forthcoming elections.

He said the party was committed to presenting candidates who would prioritise the interests, welfare and aspirations of Nigerians.
“We commend our presidential candidate, Gov. Seyi Makinde, and all other candidates for their courage, commitment, and readiness to offer themselves for public service at a time when Nigerians are demanding a new direction,” he said.
Kazeem called on Lagos residents to join the APM’s “I Am a Resetter” movement, which he said was aimed at promoting a new approach to governance in Lagos State and Nigeria.
“To be a Resetter is to recognise that Nigeria and Lagos State can do better.
“It is to reject politics that places personal interest, patronage and the comfort of a few above the welfare of ordinary citizens.
“It is to demand a government that listens, a government that works, and a government that treats public office as a responsibility rather than an opportunity for personal enrichment,” he said.
He said the party’s priorities included improved roads and transportation, affordable housing, quality education, accessible healthcare, employment opportunities, enhanced security and support for entrepreneurs.
Kazeem described “Reset Lagos—Atunto Eko 1.0” as the party’s vision for a Lagos where governance would be people-centred, accountable, transparent and responsive.
He said the vision would focus on addressing youth unemployment, improving access to capital for entrepreneurs, expanding housing opportunities, strengthening education and security, and addressing what he described as oppressive and multiple taxation.
“Atunto Eko is not merely a campaign slogan. It is a call for a fundamental change in the way Lagos is governed.
“This Lagos reset will align with the broader Reset Nigeria agenda of the Allied People’s Movement under the leadership of our presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde,” he said.
The APM spokesman urged Lagos residents to participate actively in the electoral process and consider the party’s candidates based on their programmes and capacity to serve.
He called on residents to vote for Makinde as president, Adeoye as Governor of Lagos State and other APM candidates in the 2027 elections.
“We further urge Lagos residents to vote massively for all our senatorial, House of Representatives, and Lagos State House of Assembly candidates.
“Every vote counts. Every polling unit matters. Every community matters. Every Lagos resident has a stake in the kind of Lagos and Nigeria we hand over to the next generation,” he said.
Kazeem particularly appealed to young people, workers, artisans, traders, professionals, entrepreneurs, students, retirees and other citizens to participate actively in the political process.
“Do not merely complain about the system. Become a Resetter. Do not merely demand change. Vote for it. Do not surrender your democratic power. Use it,” he said.
He said the party would take its campaign to communities across Lagos State, with emphasis on issues, ideas, accountability and practical solutions to challenges confronting residents.
“The time has come for Lagos residents to move from complaint to action, from frustration to participation, and from the old order to a new beginning,” Kazeem said.
He invited Lagos residents to join the APM’s movement and support what he described as its broader Reset Nigeria agenda.
themomentng reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has published the final list of 18 presidential candidates and their running mates for the January 2027 general elections.
The presidential list comprises 16 male candidates and two female candidates, respectively.
