Ododo, in a condolence message by the Commissioner for Information, Mr Kinsley Fanwo on Saturday in Lokoja, described Tukur as a prominent Nigerian whose contributions to public service, business, and national politics spanned several decades.

The governor described the death of the elder statesman as a great loss to Nigeria, particularly at a time when the country continued to draw from the experience and wisdom of leaders who contributed to its political and socio-economic development.

He noted that the deceased served the country in various capacities, including as governor of old Gongola State and minister of industries, where he left a legacy of service and extensive experience in public affairs.

Ododo said Tukur’s active involvement in national politics placed him among the generation of Nigerian leaders who played significant roles in shaping the country’s political development.

He extended his condolences to the family, the government and people of Adamawa State, as well as the associates and friends of the late businessman.

The governor prayed Almighty Allah to forgive Tukur’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and give his family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
