Meta has announced the launch of Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business division focused on helping companies use artificial intelligence (AI) to grow, transform their operations and serve customers.
The company said the new platform will build on Meta’s AI models, agents, large-scale infrastructure and experience working with businesses globally. The initial offering will bring Meta’s technology stack, including the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code, to businesses and developers.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Chirantan “CJ” Desai will join the company as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, reporting directly to him. Desai joins Meta from MongoDB, where he served as CEO and President. He previously led product and engineering at Cloudflare and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, including as President and COO.
Desai will lead the development of Meta Enterprise Platform as the company expands its focus on enterprise AI. He brings experience across software, AI, infrastructure, business applications and security, as well as an established network within the enterprise technology sector.
Desai said AI is expected to reshape how organisations innovate, grow, serve customers and manage business operations. He added that Meta’s combination of AI models, agents and experience supporting millions of advertisers and businesses positions the company to develop enterprise-focused AI products and services.
Meta Enterprise Platform will focus on turning Meta’s AI capabilities into products and services that companies can deploy within their own businesses. According to Meta, security and privacy will be incorporated into its enterprise products from the outset.
The company said its goal is to make Meta a platform where enterprises can use AI to scale their businesses, marking a new phase in its expansion into enterprise technology.
