Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has spoken about health challenges he is currently experiencing, revealing that he has difficulty walking and occasionally suffers swelling in different parts of his body.
Edochie made the disclosure on Thursday while visiting veteran Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah at his residence in Accra, Ghana.
The visit came as Edochie was in the country for the launch of the Pete Edochie Legacy Project, an initiative celebrating his contributions to African cinema and storytelling.
A video from the visit circulating online showed Edochie praying with Armah and providing him with financial assistance.
While encouraging the ailing Ghanaian actor, Edochie disclosed that he was also dealing with physical challenges. He explained that walking had become difficult and that parts of his body sometimes became swollen before later returning to normal.
Despite the challenges, Edochie expressed hope that his condition would improve, saying he remained dependent on God and prayed not to become a burden to those around him.
The veteran actor also offered words of encouragement to Armah, expressing confidence that he could recover by God’s grace.
Edochie’s comments have prompted expressions of concern and prayers from fans and admirers.
Armah has been away from active screen appearances for an extended period due to health challenges.
