The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funso Doherty, has picked Tolani Animashaun as his running mate for the 2027 election.
The unveiling of Animashaun took place on Thursday at an event at Diamond Hall, Amber Residence, 16 Ehubgayi Road, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
Doherty emerged as the NDC governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos election after accepting the party’s nomination in June.
He had previously contested for the Lagos governorship on the African Democratic Congress (ADC) platform before moving to the NDC.
Doherty has previously identified education, healthcare, housing, transportation, waste management and unemployment among the areas requiring attention in Lagos.
The 2027 Lagos governorship election is scheduled for February 6, 2027.
