The witness, Dr. Onuoha Okeiqwe, gave the testimony on Monday, October 12, 2026, before Justice R. A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Blessing CEO is standing trial over allegations of obtaining money by false pretense and stealing involving ₦69,150,000.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), through its Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, arraigned her on June 9, 2026, on a two-count charge. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.
While giving his testimony, Okeiqwe told the court that the transaction involved a property at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos, which was allegedly leased to Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited for five years.
He said he contacted Blessing CEO after concerns emerged about the ownership of the building but alleged that she dismissed his concerns and insisted that she owned the property.
The witness further told the court that a man identified as Mr Tom later arrived at the property with police officers and arrested some of the workers there.
According to him, he paid ₦100,000 to secure the workers’ release.
Okeiqwe also identified WhatsApp messages in which Blessing CEO allegedly sent him photographs of the building as evidence of her ownership.
He told the court that, apart from the lease payment, he also paid additional charges, including agency, legal and caution fees.
The witness maintained that the central issue was his allegation that Blessing CEO collected ₦69.15 million from him for the lease despite allegedly not being the property’s owner.
He further alleged that she collected money from another person in connection with the same property.
The case is ongoing before the court, and Blessing CEO has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.
